How to take good photographs on a bright sunny day.

I don't like getting up early in the morning to take pictures at sunrise, also the places I like to go to are mostly closed at sunset, these are the times referred to as the golden hours. An example of this is Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington, Connecticut.

My experience with photography has been with taking pictures during the day with the sun high in the sky. I have found that by using a polarizing filter helps darken the sky and reduces the brightness of the overall scene.
