Since childhood I have had an interest in photography. My first camera was a Brownie box camera with which I was able to take some great family snapshots. For forty-nine years, my working profession has been in the field of land surveying which has kept me outdoors most of my life.
My hobby of photography turned into a career when the economy slowed down and I began working part time at a camera shop to supplement my income. I witnessed the evolution of the photo industry from 35mm film to digital media. The camera shop closed but my interest in photography didn't end. With the purchase of a digital SLR, my interest in photography has evolved into more than just a hobby. I am now retired from land surveying, which is giving me more time to focus on my photography.
